My mother just started a blog so I thought I might update mine a bit.
I've been in North Carolina since May 30th. I really like it here, but the longer I'm here the more I realize how much I miss home. Arizona is starting to seem like a tropical oasis to me. There really is no place like home, and I love the moments that make me appreciate that. I miss the dirt, the cactus, the dry air, the mountains, the cotton fields, the people, the food. Oh, how I want a taste of real Mexican food!
North Carolina is really pretty, I haven't seen a patch of land without something green growing out of it in nearly two months. There are trees EVERYWHERE. Trees, grass, and flowers. Basically the complete opposite of Arizona. But you know what? Green is nice and all but give me some DESERT!
All summer I've been about as lazy as a human being can be, so It's going to be tough to go home and get back into the swing of things. My first semester of college starts on August 20th. Am I ready? I'll never be ready. I'm majoring in Business Administration and my schedule is really hard, but I'll do the best I can and hope to make it just fine.
I have a new laptop! I've never had my own computer before! Well, it's not technically new, my brother-in-law got it from a friend of his, but it practically is new. I love it, especially since I only paid $100 for it! I really scored a deal there!
I've just started a new book on my mom's Kindle Fire. I'm excited about that!
I haven't read as many books as I should have while I've been here, considering how much I haven't done and how many books I have to read. Oh well :)
I've bought a lot of new music lately. Amazon MP3 has really good deals! I got a bunch of stuff from The Shins, Band of Horses, Iron & Wine, Grouplove, and a bunch more.
Here's one that I really like. The video is weird but the song is catchy
