A poem I wrote

Risen Angel

I can see the smile on her face, but
All I can hear is broken promises
I run to Him, "don't let this happen"
Don't let her heart get broken again
Save this fallen angel,
Save this fallen angel from crying so

Then I see the shadow of a good man
Hear him call my name
He says he's talked to God and
All I have to do is be
To save this fallen angel,
Save this fallen angel from crying so

She says she's blind, "there's no reason"
"Love could never be, at least for me"
I offer to her what she's had all along
The love of a father, so kind, so dear
He takes her hand and they dance,
Dance till there's nothing left of tears

Then I see the shadow of a good man
Hear him call my name
He says he's talked to God and
All I have to do is see
See Him save His fallen angel,
Save His fallen angel who's fallen no more
